Make sure your employer files a First Report of Injury, and ask for a copy of it. Talk to a capable and experienced attorney and don’t worry about fees. Attorney fees are contingent and can only be awarded on genuinely disputed benefits. It is unethical to request an attorney fee on undisputed benefits.
